Alesis has always made good products at a good price point. From drum-machines, to effects, to the new Andromeda analog synthesizer that breaks new ground in the field of synthesizer technology, Alesis has over the years been consistent and earned its reputation of quality. A few years ago, when I needed a good quality, weighted-action master keyboard for my studio and the occasional gigs, the QS8 had just come out. Even if I didn't like the piano sounds too much, and the display was too small, the pads were gorgeous. I bought one and to date it's still my main 88-keys board.
